Mission Statement

Today the Pennsylvania Association of Bail Professionals stands on the road of a journey already underway. Pennsylvania’s commercial bail bond industry is in a dynamic state of change. Proposed changes affect the Department of Insurance, surety companies, bail bond agents, professional bail bondsman, instate bail enforcement agents and bail enforcement agents visiting our Commonwealth with the sole purpose of apprehending fugitives from justice.

Our mission, through an accountable and collaborative effort, is to guide our Commonwealth’s legislative body through the process of mandating ethical, regulated and purposeful methodology in the passage of legislation affecting Pennsylvania’s commercial bail bond industry. By doing so, PABP is committed to ensuring our country’s communities be made safer, upholding the rights of every citizen and adhering to the principles dictated by our Founding Fathers.

The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty through the Court’s systematic approach of due process.

Values Statement

Commitment to “values” is an awesome responsibility and an honor. By undertaking this duty, it is imperative that each Member of this Association understand the weight of accepting said commitment. Therefore, the Pennsylvania Association of Bail Professionals and its Members obligate to the following statement: “Do as I do. If you are not prepared to accept this responsibility and give all credit to those other than yourself…Do not internalize our values.”

Individuals with our values are above reproach. Individuals with our values are guided by strong faith; Individuals with our values evaluate suggestions from peers meant to further personal improvement. Individuals with our values accept meaningful criticism then act upon the call for change. Individuals with our values know their limitations and who they can call upon to rise above weaknesses. Individuals with our values are never frightened by inadequacies but face them and relentlessly push forward.

We, the Pennsylvania Association of Bail Professionals, collectively, commit to excellence. As an Association, we are not blurred by emotion, times of uncertainty or factors that cannot be controlled. We are directed by empathy, vision and by understanding how each decision affects our community as a whole and how that decision impacts each citizen. Thus, each action is thoughtful, deliberate and implemented with great care.
